How to build an AI social media analyst
Updated 27 September 2026.
You build an AI social media analyst by giving a model tools that return your normalized history, then restricting the questions to metrics those tools compute. MySoMeData is a read-only social media data API and MCP layer for AI. It connects social accounts to AI applications and software, providing structured historical performance data that can be analyzed, queried, and used to build products.
What you assemble
- A MySoMeData account with the company’s Instagram, TikTok, or Pinterest connected.
- Either remote MCP for a chat analyst, or the API for an agent you run yourself.
- Instructions that name metric bases, sample limits, and read-only behavior.
- A first question set: period change, outliers, format rates, and TikTok source mix.
What you leave out of v1
Do not promise every post in a year. The item arrays are samples. Do not promise multi-brand workspaces. One account is one company. Do not promise inbox replies. The AI social media analyst page is the question list this build can support.
How you check that it works
Ask for last month versus the prior month and see whether the reply names the platforms that are actually connected. Ask for Pinterest reach and see whether the analyst refuses and uses impressions. Ask for a posting calendar on three videos and see whether it calls the sample too small. Those three checks tell you the instructions match the data.
